Facility for selected investors
DILI, East Timor (JP): Governor of East Timor province Abilio Jose Osorio Soares ordered all regents to be selective in giving facilities to businesspeople wanting to invest in the province.
Abilio said recently that the businesspeople must be reveal what their business is before the government offers facilities.
"You should think carefully before giving approval to any investors' request for facilities," he told visiting Manutahi regent Jose de Andrade in his office.
Andrade reported to the governor that PT Putera Timor Perkasa, a subsidiary of the Humpuss Group belonging to President Soeharto's youngest son Hutomo Mandala Putra, sought a 100- hectare plot in Betano, Manutahi, for a cassava plantation. (yac/imn)
