Exhibition on art, architecture

JAKARTA (JP): The city administration will hold a two week art
and architecture exhibition in the National Monument compound in
Central Jakarta, starting tomorrow.

Head of the National Monument Authority Ekki Husein Katili
said that the exhibition was being held in conjunction with the
commemoration of the city's 468th anniversary and in cooperation
with the Jakarta Arts Institute.

A total of 160 works, including paintings and architectural
models created by 86 Indonesian artists, will be displayed at the
exhibition.

Artists who will be in attendance at the exhibition are Abbas
Alibasyah, Koentjaraningrat, Ratmini Soedjatmoko, Syaukat
Bandjarsari, Zaini and Nazhar.

The works have been selected by a board of curators,
consisting of representatives of the Jakarta Arts Council, the
Jakarta Arts Institute and the Indonesian Architecture
