JAKARTA (JP): The next four days are guaranteed to confuse
those assigned to report the Special Session to the outside
world. These intrepid individuals will have a hard time hunting
for their usual sources because almost everyone is dressed in
identical clothing.

While performing their duties at the MPR session, military
personnel have donned their civvies and are looking quite dandy.
But if you have to seek any of the men in uniform among 1,000
legislators who have gathered here for the event, it would help
if at least some of them stood out.

Hence on Tuesday The Jakarta Post initially did not return an
enthusiastic glance advanced by a suit strolling through the
foyer of the Assembly building. Upon closer inspection, the man
turned out to be none other than Lt. Gen. Djamari Chaniago,
Commander of the Army's Strategic Reserves Command (Kostrad).

"Oops, sorry Pak Djamari, I didn't know it was you, you look
so different," the Post said.

Perhaps it would help if the dress code allowed for the
members of different factions to wear different colored suits.
