Es Teler 77 in Singapore

JAKARTA (JP): Local food franchiser Es Teler 77 officially has
opened its first overseas franchise in Singapore, the company
announced yesterday .

The new franchise, dubbed Es Teler 77 International Pte Ltd
Singapore, is a joint venture with Singaporean entrepreneur Wee
Geok Eng.

The new outlet opened Thursday, is located in China Square,
Telok Anyer Street.

Es Teler's founder and owner Sukyatno Nugroho said his company
planned to open several more branches in Singapore and in Brunei
soon.

Es Teler, which opened in 1982 as a small streetstall
employing five workers, sells traditional Indonesian food: iced
fruit-shakes, noodles and meatball soup, or bakso. (das)
