Ericsson launches new cell phone

JAKARTA (JP): Cellular phone maker PT Ericsson Indonesia unveils on Wednesday its latest product, the T29 and the HBH-10 Bluetooth headset, for the Indonesian market.

The T29 is a wireless application protocol (WAP) enabled dual- band phone which could handle short message service (SMS) and group-SMS text messages, equipped with four games, voice control, vibrating alert and a comprehensive phone book, the company said.

The HBH-10, claimed to be the world's first commercially available Bluetooth headset, offers hands-free, wire-free, telephone experience, and incorporates features such as activated voice-dialing and call-answering by a key on the headset.

The launching on Wednesday was attended by Ericsson Indonesia president Mats Olson (right). He is pictured with a model, holding the new cell phone and wearing the HBH-10 Bluetooth headset. (tnt)
