Eradicating poverty

Eradicating poverty is not an easy job. It needs serious
efforts. Conglomerates should participate in the poverty
eradication program. We know that about 30 million people still
live under the poverty line.

Under the Presidential Instructions on backward villages
program (IDT), the government has allocated Rp 20 million for
least developed villages. Unfortunately many entitled recipients
do not receive the IDT funds directly. Small traders, sidewalk
vendors, etc. must wait until authorities deliver the funds to
the needy.

I think the aid would be more beneficial if the benefactors
donate Rp 25,000 directly to the recipients without expecting
them to repay the money. This is one way to answer the challenge
of development.
