E.Q. black-and-white photos at Cahya

JAKARTA (JP): Photographer Eky Tandyo is to hold his first
solo exhibition this year at the Cahya photo gallery at Plaza
Menteng on Jl. Cokroaminoto, Central Jakarta beginning Tuesday.

During the March 9 - March 30 exhibition, the photographer
better known as E.Q. will display his 60 black-and-white shots
made between 1997 and 1998.

Under the theme 'A Journey', E.Q.'s works on display will be
mostly about broken stairs, windows, doors and alleys of old
buildings in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Cirebon and Solo.

"It's about an inner self, searching for something and a
journey," he said on Saturday.

For many, the portraits may simply mean loneliness.

According to E.Q., all pictures on display are to be offered
for sale to visitors at prices between Rp 1.5 million and Rp 2
