Enid Blyton's most popular books
The Adventure series
The story of four children and a hilarious talking parrot in
eight thrilling adventures, including on a mysterious island,
a deserted valley and a traveling circus.
Mallory Towers series (six books)
Meet Darrell Rivers and her friends in the boarding school of
Mallory Towers, where they work their way up from being naive
first years students to serious sixth year teens.
St. Clares series (six books)
Twins Pat and Isabel O'Sullivan do not like their school at
first. Later on, they settle down and become friends with
everyone. The most exciting series perhaps is the one with
Claudine, a hilarious new student from France.
The Naughtiest Girls series (three books)
Elizabeth Allen is a spoiled rich kid who is determined to be
as naughty as possible in her boarding school, in order to be
sent home back for the homeschooling she prefers. Surprise,
surprise, she ends up enjoying every aspect of school life.
The Famous Five series (15 books)
The most popular children's book series by Blyton, it is centered
around the adventures of Julian, Dick, Anne and the tomboy
Georgina and her dog Timmy.
Mystery series (15 books)
Join the Five Find-Outers and Dog as they solve mysteries
and bug local police officer Theopholus Goon. The most
intriguing character here would be Fatty, the only child of a
wealthy family who is the smartest of all, loves to disguise
himself and play tricks but is distinctly lacking in modesty.
The Secret Seven series (15 books)
A secret society of children where members shares a clubhouse,
badges, and password to enter the house. They shadow suspects,
look for clues, and always get the bad guy at the end. This
series was my least favorite, as it is too childlike.
The Secret series (five books)
Three siblings run away with their orphan friend to a secret
island. They are reunited with their parents, who take in the
orphan, and the four continue on their adventure together.
The R Mysteries series (six books)
Cousins Roger, Diana and Snubby are just regular kids.
But their friendship with Barney, a boy looking for his father,
brings them to adventure.
Circus series (three books)
A dream comes true as Jimmy Brown becomes friends with Lotta,
a circus girl. He gets to know all the circus people and animals,
and suddenly, as his carpenter father finds a job in the
circus, Jimmy becomes one of the folks.
Other stories by Enid Blyton include the Farm Stories series, Enid Blyton's Nature Lover's Books, Faraway Tree series and Wishing Chair series.
