English Day at Trisakti

JAKARTA: English-speaking students are invited to visit a two- day event called the English Day at campus E at Trisakti University in Grogol, West Jakarta, on Thursday and Friday this week.

Organized by Zigzag, the university's English Club, it will feature a competition of singing and poetry reading as well as a drama performance by the club.

There will be a bazaar with 37 stalls selling various kind of items ranging from accessories and clothes to food and laohan fish during the event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

"We want to encourage students to make English the second language on campus," John Christian Torr, an English instructor who is the consultant for the event, said. --JP
