End the embargo

Castro owes so much to the United States. Not merely for the sympathy aroused by his rebellion against the corrupt regime of Fulgencio Batista which ended with the entry of the rebels to Havana 40 years ago. But also because the subsequent anti- Castroism and other stupidities of U.S. foreign policy penalized Cubans as much as they helped Castro stay in power for four decades. Without the embargo, Castroism would probably not have lasted so long. Contributions must be made so that the United States ends its absurd embargo and reasonable alternatives must be encouraged that would lead to a orderly transition to democracy.
