Employer drugged, robbed by maid

PONOROGO, East Java: Patnawati, a resident of Dumai regency in
Riau, has filed a report to police here that her maid, Astuti,
drugged her and ran off with one kilogram of gold and Rp 6
million in cash.

Patnawati claimed that she was accompanying her maid and her
friend, Sriatun, to their hometown in nearby Siman district. When
on the bus, she was given a drink by them which was probably
drugged.

Patnawati says the next thing she knew she awoke on the side
of the street with her jewelry and money gone.

Astuti had reportedly worked at Patnawati's household for
three-years.

Antara reported that Ponorogo Police Chief Lt. Col. Bambang
Pudji Rahadjo confirmed that a complaint had been filed and that
police were investigating it.
