Emirates flight

Referring to Mr. Bill Guerin's letter in The Jakarta Post of Aug. 28, we thank him for his complimentary remarks about the Emirates' service. We can confirm that passengers are now allowed to leave the flight in Singapore and we will ensure that in-flight announcements make this clear to all passengers.

Unfortunately we are on the ground for only 55 minutes in Colombo at a remote location, and it would not be practical to allow passengers to leave the plane for such a short period as it would require transportation to and from the terminal building.

We would like to extend our sincere apologies to Mr. Guerin for not being allowed to deplane in Singapore on this occasion, as well as thank him for his valuable comments.
