Emirates flies B777 to RI

JAKARTA (JP): Emirates, the United Arab Emirates flag carrier, began using Boeing B777 aircraft on its Dubai-Singapore-Jakarta route on Sunday.

The airlines said yesterday that the jets would ply three of Emirates's four weekly services to Jakarta via Singapore. The fourth will still use the A310-300 aircraft it has used since starting the Indonesian service in 1992.

Emirates said the B777s would increase capacity by 50 percent. It said the sector had an average year-round load factor above 70 percent. (icn)
