Embassy Club burns down

JAKARTA: The Embassy Club discotheque in Taman Ria, Central Jakarta caught fire early Tuesday morning, burning down the majority of the building and its interior.

No one was injured in the incident, which took place when the discotheque was closed.

The Central Jakarta Fire Agency received information about the fire at around 2:45 a.m. and immediately deployed 22 fire engines to the area.

"We suspect a short circuit as the cause of the fire," firefighter Abbas was quoted by Antara as saying.

After struggling for almost two hours firefighters finally managed to put out the fire. --Antara
