Elisa to compete in Aerosports Olympics

SEMARANG (JP): Central Java paraglider Elisa Manueke will compete in the Aerosports Olympics in Spain in July.

"I was contacted by the Indonesian Aerosports Federation (FASI) to prepare for the event," she said on Wednesday evening. "I have been training in Wonogiri, Surakarta, Bogor, Semarang and Bali."

Elisa was optimistic she could compete with European athletes.

"I'm glad I have the chance to compete in my speciality in the Olympics. Hopefully I can perform well in Spain," said Elisa, who earned a silver in the 2000 National Games in Surabaya in June. (har)
