Eleven illegal aliens deported

PROBOLINGGO, East Java: A number of expatriates were found
working illegally at the Paiton power plant here, I.W. Daster,
head of the Probolinggo manpower office, said yesterday.

Recently, the East Java immigration authorities deported 11
foreigners who were found misusing their "social" visas at the
plant.

Seven South Koreans and four Filipinos employed by PT Shinwa
Engineering & Co. Ltd. were deported last Monday for working
illegally at the electricity plant.

"They were found using social visit visas to work in the
company," said Daster.

The Probolinggo government has 206 foreigners legally
registered to work. There are 860 companies registered in
Probolinggo.
