Elderly given free checkups

BOGOR: The Indonesian Catholic Women's (WKRI) organization
arranged for free medical checkups for more than 150 elderly
residents of Bogor on Saturday, as part of the commemoration of
the organization's 81st anniversary, which falls on June 26.

The checkups took place in Cikaret subdistrict, South Bogor.

Cikaret subdistrict head Syafrudin explained there was a
program in which residents were being encouraged to become more
involved in their neighborhood.

"In the program, we're not only cleaning up the area but also
helping others, such as providing free health services for
residents," he said. -- JP
