Elderly found dead at Monas

JAKARTA (JP): An unidentified woman, believed to be 60, was
found dead yesterday with an insecticide can next to her body in
Monas (National Monument) park in Central Jakarta.

A police officer at the local precinct said the body of the
woman was found by a morning jogger in the park.

"We assume, for the time being, that the woman killed herself
by drinking insecticide," he said.

The woman wearing traditional Javanese clothes had a small
amount of money and headache pills in her purse. (jun)
