Eko Patrio reported to police
JAKARTA: Comedian and presenter of a number of TV entertainment programs, Eko Patrio, along with his colleagues at PT. E Titik Tiga Komando (PT. Ekomando), was reported to the police on Wednesday over a business dispute earlier on Tuesday.
The report was filed by Rachmadji Wibowo, vice president of PT. Ekanawa Prima, a business partner in entertainment programs, with the City Police Headquarters.
Rachmadji said in his report that on Tuesday, Eko, whose real name is Eko Hendro Purnomo, summoned Rachmadji and his colleague, Ganang Pricahyono to a meeting discussing a business opportunity, at the PT. Ekomando office in South Jakarta.
During the meeting, a heated disagreement erupted between the two PT. Ekanawa executives and their counterparts with PT. Ekomando.
According to Rachmadji, in the dispute, one PT. Ekomando executive, identified as Bayan, threatened to throw Rachmadji out the window of the second floor, the site of the meeting, following the dispute.
Article 335 of the Criminal Code stipulates that anyone threatening to physically attack another could be sentenced to a maximum of 12 months in jail.--JP
