Eight youths hospitalized after clash

DENPASAR, Bali: Eight youths were injured and three motorcycles
burned in fighting in Akah subdistrict in Klungkung regency
recently.

The eight youths were admitted to Klungkung Hospital with
severe injuries.

The clash between Jumpai and Akah residents began on Thursday
afternoon when dozens of Jumpai youths were making their way to a
volleyball game in Selat district.

They sped on their motorcycles through Akah subdistrict and
revved their engines loudly, angering residents.

Dozens of local residents came out of their houses and stopped
them. Both sides soon became engaged in a fierce quarrel.

The angry local residents then attacked the youths and set
fire to three motorcycles belonging to the youths. -- Antara
