Eight arrested for Bali bus brawl

DENPASAR, Bali: Badung Police arrested eight men on Monday for
their alleged involvement in the dispute at Ubung bus terminal on
Sunday night that left one man dead and a police officer severely
injured.

"Three of them have been declared as suspects in the murder of
38-year-old Dadeli Mandoyo alias Ook. We're still questioning the
rest of the gang," said Badung police detective chief Sr. Insp.
Hussein Abubakar.

The three suspects are identified as Basri, Bambang Irawan and
Yoyon Mulyono.

Ook was killed by angry hoodlums in retaliation for burning a
bus belonging to Indonesia Abadi firm.

The incident was triggered when a police private named Kadek
Suarsa reprimanded a bus agent who had forced a passenger to get
onto the Indonesia Abadi bus. (zen/edt)
