Editor's holiday

I refer to my letter titled Bright idea (July 11). It's holiday time in Indonesia. I presume our usual editor is somewhere enjoying a vacation because my jab at environmentalists was deleted from my letter.

The point I tried to drive home was: Locally, a single standardized pole line is able to carry the electrical wiring at the top, underneath run telephone copper cable, and coaxial TV cable and optical fiber as well. Nationwide, the long distance routes can have the fiber-optical routes run along highway dividers, atop high-voltage power lines or laid on the ocean bed in the case of inter-island connections -- wide fiber routes. Moreover, Bandung and me are both still up here in West Java, we haven't moved, yet, to West Jakarta.
