Editing
I read the article Ban eased on Chinese literature which appeared in The Jakarta Post on Aug. 3, 1994. However, the latter half of the article after the subtitle of "control" is about forestry which is completely irrelevant to the main title.
I think you understand, as a professional editor, that this article is totally out of the question in terms of editing a newspaper. The readers who are interested in forestry might well have missed this article. I would be happy if you would explain to me why you edit your newspaper this way.

Note: You are right, the latter part of the story digresses from the main title although the whole story is based on the same event. Perhaps a more appropriate subtitle would have done a better job.
