Economic growth to reach 4 percent

JAKARTA: The city will likely see more than 4 percent economic growth this year, a councillor said.

Sumiyati Soekarno, deputy chairwoman of Commission B on economic affairs at the City Council, said on Wednesday that the sectors that enjoyed significant growth were trade, hotels and restaurants; transportation and communication; finance and company services, beritajakarta.com reported.

However, agriculture, electricity, gas and water were among the sectors that were experiencing little growth. --JP
