Ah, Guy Debord man. Nice. And Baudrillard also similar. Some people dismiss their theories but clearly something's changed in the world. My old man certainly couldn't access multitudes of cum drunk sluts to oggle 24/7 [fap].

Julia Roberts’ Eat Pray Love has apparently helped boost tourism in Bali, with the province’s tourism agency reporting an increase in the number of visitors after the movie was released.

Bali tourism agency head Ida Bagus Kade Subhiksu said Wednesday there had been an increase in the number of tourists visiting Bali in December compared with figures for previous months, which averaged about 200,000 visitors a month.

"In December, there were more than 230,000 visitors," he said, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.

Kade said Eat Pray Love had helped boost Bali’s tourist numbers, together with the stable security situation on the island.
Bali had 2.5 million visitors in 2010, exceeding their target of 2.3 million, he said. That figure was also an improvement from 2009’s 2.2 million and 2008’s 1.96 million visitors.

The Culture and Tourism Ministry’s head of human resources development Gde Pitana Brahmananda said Indonesia had 5.78 million visitors between January and October of 2010, a 12 percent increase from last year.
