East Timor joins Expo Darwin
DILI: East Timor will join Expo Darwin in an effort to promote its natural resources.
The vice chairman of the Provincial Investment Coordinating Board (BKPMD), Basyiruddin Yusuf, said over the weekend that participation in the expo was aimed at enhancing foreign investment, Antara reported yesterday.
We are rich in natural resources and this makes it possible for us to develop and exploit them for the sake of provincial revenues, he said.
Expo Darwin will run from June 24 to June 29 in Darwin, Australia.
"Almost every year East Timor takes part in Expo Darwin, but we are yet to get what we want," he said. (sur)
