East Timor has new ferry
DILI, East Timor: The local government will launch a ferry
service to Dili, Atauro Island and Wetar Island in December.
The KMP Balibo has the capacity to carry 400 passengers and 23
trucks, head of the East Timor transportation office R. Widagdo
said here yesterday.
He said the ferry built in Surabaya is in fact ready for
operation but its wharfs are still not built, Antara reported.
The ferry is expected to improve the people's mobility in the
three areas, he said. (pan)
