E-commerce payment system

JAKARTA (JP): PT eSecure Indonesia is set to launch in April a
payment system to support e-commerce transactions in Indonesia,
the company announced here on Tuesday.

The company said in a press release that its system, known as
eSecure, would use the Secure Electronic Transaction (SET)
technology which has been designated by Visa and Mastercard and
their technical partner to be used as the universal security
standard for internet credit card transactions.

The security products which will be launched include a
security application for credit cards and for merchants, a
digital identification to authenticate credit card holders,
merchant and payment gateway and security application for banks
and financial institutions in handling payment and financial
transactions.(hen)
