DuPont sees good business

JAKARTA (JP): Chemical company DuPont said its business in Indonesia had developed very well during the past years with revenues growing by 50 percent during 1999.

President of DuPont ASEAN Roger Moore said here on Wednesday that the company booked nearly US$90 million in export revenues from its chemical manufacturing business in Indonesia last year.

He said DuPont's 1999 business growth in Indonesia was the highest in Southeast Asia.

DuPont expects to see its business here to grow further this year with revenues increasing by at least 20 percent, he said.

Moore said in order to strengthen its position in the global market, DuPont planned to develop e-commerce businesses and alliances. (cst)
