Drugs suspected in two deaths

JAKARTA (JP): Two women died from suspected drug overdoses in separate locations over the weekend, police and hospital officials said on Sunday.

A 23-year-old woman with long black hair was found dead in a hotel room in Taman Sari, West Jakarta, on Friday afternoon. There were bruises all over her chest and face.

Another young woman, estimated to be about 20, was lying in a comatose state in the park near Kemayoran condominiums in Central Jakarta on Sunday morning. She died at Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital less than an hour after arrival.

The hospital's forensic expert suspected that drug overdoses were the cause of both victims' deaths. (01)
