Driver leads passengers to deaths

BEKASI: Three passengers of a public minibus died in a crash on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road early on Friday, while six other passengers are being treated at Karya Bhakti Hospital in Cikampek for serious injuries.

According to the passengers, who were heading to Jakarta from Banyumas, Central Java, the minibus driver Agus Salim was driving recklessly while joking with the passengers.

The driver was overtaking another car on the left and smashed into the back of a stalled truck.

The police are questioning the driver. -- JP
