Driver beaten to his death

JAKARTA (JP): A public transport driver was beaten to death on Monday by a group of teenagers for no apparent reason.

Gunawan left his house in Cibubur, East Jakarta, to buy noodles. He encountered eleven teenagers on his way out and was soon involved in fierce fight, the victim's relatives said. However, they did not have any idea why Gunawan was attacked.

The 27-year-old victim was taken by his family to the emergency unit of the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, where he died yesterday morning. (05)
