Drive-thru banking starts

JAKARTA (JP): Citibank announced yesterday it had launched a 24-hour drive-through Citicard Banking Center (CBC), from which customers can withdraw money without leaving their vehicles.

"People often do not have enough time to stop at the bank, find a parking spot and then wait in line to be served. The drive-thru CBC is the answer to their needs," marketing director Armand B. Arief said yesterday.

At the new center, customers can conduct various transactions in either English or Indonesian and withdraw currency in either U.S. dollars or Indonesian rupiah. (rid)
