'Dreams and Teams' project launched

JAKARTA: Fourteen high school students and seven teachers from seven schools here have joined a five-day sports program to improve leadership, team work, self-esteem, and organizational and negotiating skills.

The program, which kicked off on Monday in Ciloto, Puncak, is aimed at enlightening students and teachers on how to use sport to improve leadership skills among young people.

Two English trainers, Gary Fisher-Smith and Karen Arnold have been assigned to assist the participants in the program, dubbed the Dreams and Teams project, which is being facilitated by the British Council.

The project has been conducted in 16 other countries, including Malaysia, Yemen, Germany, Chile, Colombia, South Africa and Argentine. --JP
