Dragoon ties up Detta

JAKARTA (JP): Dragoon Limited of Britain signed a licensing and technology transfer agreement here yesterday letting PT Detta Marina produce and sell garments under its trademarks.

Dragoon's managing director Gordon B. Parr said Detta Marina would manufacture up to US$3 million worth of garments with Dragoon trademarks. He said half of these would be sold here and half would be exported in the first year of production.

Dragoon produces leisure, adventure and travel wear under the British Dragoon, Voyager and Lonsdale brands. Dragoon exports garments to 30 countries and has an annual sales revenue of about $20 million.

Detta Marina plans to open 12 outlets in the country in 1997. Six will open by next January, Parr said. (02)
