DPR to select 'RRI' supervisory council

JAKARTA: The House of Representatives will screen 15
candidates next week for the five-member supervisory council of
state radio station RRI.

Theo L. Sambuaga, chairman of House Commission I for
communications, said on Monday the candidates would be short-
listed from 35 people now undergoing administrative screening.

The recruitment for the RRI supervisory council is part of
efforts to improve the performance of the state-funded radio
station.

All state enterprises and state offices have been urged to
place advertisements on the station. -- JP
