DPD members draft standing orders

JAKARTA: The 128 elected members of the Regional
Representatives Council (DPD) will start deliberating the
Council's standing orders on Monday.

A staffer of the People's Consultative Assembly secretariat
said the Assembly's working body has completed the draft, but
council members insisted on composing their own draft.

The DPD members will make up the assembly along with the 550-
strong House of Representatives. The lawmakers are scheduled to
be sworn in on Oct. 1. -- JP
