Dossiers of Tata, Juan submitted

JAKARTA (JP): City police detectives handed over on Tuesday the dossiers of suspects Ardhia Pramesti "Tata" Regita Cahyani, wife of fugitive Hutomo "Tommy" Mandala Putra, and lawyer Juan Felix Tampubolon, to the Jakarta Provincial Prosecutor's Office.

City police chief of detectives Sr. Comr. Harry Montolalu said on Tuesday it would take the prosecutors 14 days to examine the dossiers before the suspects could be tried.

Both Tata and Juan were named suspects under Article 216 of the criminal code for obstructing the police's search for Tommy, an offense which carries a maximum jail term of four months and two weeks.

Tata was suspected of telling lies to the police, claiming that she had no information about the existence of a bunker -- suspected then to be the temporary shelter of Tommy -- under the couple's residence on Jl. Cendana, Central Jakarta.

Juan was declared a suspect for allegedly trying to prevent the police from drilling the ground floor of Tommy's mansion. (ylt)
