Don't forget to pray

JAKARTA (JP): Armed Forces Chief of Sociopolitical Affairs Lt. Gen. Yunus Yosfiah said that Moslem Assembly members must not forget their duty to pray even amid the heavy schedule of their meetings.

"You can have your meetings but never forget to pray," he was quoted by Antara as saying yesterday. He said that prayers were part of one's personal accountability to God.

"When people pray they become more patient. They don't easily get angry," he remarked, adding that prayers were important because they could prevent people from becoming radical. (mds)
