Donations for Aceh refugees

BANDA ACEH, Aceh: Students grouped in the Aceh Humanity Post
distributed food donations to refugees scattered in the areas of
Tuepin Raya, Pante Raja and Trieng Gadeng, coordinator Rina
Syamsuddin said on Saturday.

In Trieng Gadeng and Pante Raja, for instance, there were a
total of 14,408 refugees, Rina said, adding there were now 49,000
displaced people in Pidie regency alone.

The aid comprised cooking oil, instant noodles, milk and
sugar, while medical supplies were distributed through the local
branch of the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI).(39/edt)
