Doctoral course for Japanese studies
The University of Indonesia is scheduled to launch a doctoral course for Japanese Studies in a ceremony at the university's campus in Salemba, Central Jakarta, on Thursday.
The launching of the course is in line with the university's graduate school programs aimed at providing opportunities for candidates for advanced research work on Japan and gaining the necessary knowledge and expertise to pursue an education and research career.
The Japanese Embassy announced yesterday that the doctoral course of the Japanese Studies to be held by the university will accept eight students in the first batch.
The university's graduate school introduced a master's course for Japanese Studies in 1990. (has)
