Do your best, says Surjadi

JAKARTA (JP): Governor Surjadi Soedirdja urged members of the
Jakarta contingent taking part in the 2nd Pertasi Kencana to do
their best to promote agriculture, cooperatives and family
planning.

The week-long competition is held among provinces once every
five years. This year it was to be held in West Nusa Tenggara
starting yesterday.

The governor said on Wednesday all contingent members should
uphold discipline and Jakarta's good reputation as the capital.

"Don't let us down," Surjadi stressed.

The event is a meeting of farmers, fishermen and national
family planning organizers and participants. It is aimed
particularly at enhancing their performance and to exchange ideas
and experiences. (bas)
