DLLAJ to hire younger field staff

JAKARTA: The City Land Transportation Agency (DLLAJ) will recruit new personnel soon in an effort to give a fresh look to its field staff, who are mostly above 40 years old.

According to the agency chief, Rustam Effendi, they were currently understaffed and desperately needed to hire new personnel in order to be more productive.

"Beside qualifications, the recruitment decision will be based on a health checkup and the candidate's age," he told reporters at City Hall.

DLLAJ plan to deploy at least 25 new personnel at each office in Central, East, North, West and South Jakarta. -- JP
