Djajanti cement in Brunei

JAKARTA (JP): Butra Djajanti Cement, a joint venture between
Brunei companies and Indonesia's Djajanti said it controlled
about 60 percent of Brunei's cement market.

Butra general manager David G. Overton said cement production
had reached 1,500 tons a day since starting last June.

Overton said he was optimistic his company could meet the
growing demand for cement in Brunei,Antara reported from the
country's capital, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Butra's cement plant was built in 1993 for about US$60 million
on a four-hectare plot in Serasa, an industrial district in
Brunei Muara.

Djajanti group and Brunei Cement own half of the company.
