Discrepancy in development

The difference in the development in western Indonesia and eastern Indonesia is growing. This can be seen from all aspects of development such as education, health, transportation, social welfare and many other areas.

In terms of the development in eastern Indonesia especially in East Nusatenggara (NTT), the difference has been exacerbated by bad governance in the region as reported in the media ( Pos Kupang), with corruption cases prevailing practically in all regencies.

Does this reflect our culture or "the greedy mice" who pretend to be good and honest people? On the other hand, ordinary people who live in the villages are not corrupt and do not steal government money, yet they keep supporting the government.

However, when they suffer, not many people who benefit from the goodness of these people help them. The central government raises fuel prices for the sake of their political interests and yet are very slow to respond to the threat of starvation in most areas in NTT.

It is an irony that there is a great amount of money allocated for the poor from our national budget but in fact the poor continue to suffer.

Please be honest with the common people because they do not understand the ABC of politics and power.
