Discrediting remarks should be avoided
From Warta Kota
Many people today use democracy as a slogan but they may not understand what the word actually means. In the meantime, the July 5 presidential election is approaching, following the April 5 legislative election.
In their campaigns for the coming election, however, there are indications that the presidential candidates are trying to discredit one another in the attempt to win public sympathy.
Are there certain circles that are purposely using the campaign as an opportunity to tarnish the reputations of some of the candidates? As a nation on the road to democracy, Indonesia should learn to develop its political maturity.
It is my belief that the nation has its own aspirations and vision for its future president and vice president, who should be capable of bringing about justice and welfare to the country.
