Discipline move in Bekasi

BEKASI (JP): Bekasi Regent Moch. Djamhari has instructed to his subordinates to take strong action against regency employees caught hanging around during working hours.

The regent is seeking to discipline regency employees as part of the current National Discipline Movement recently launched by President Soeharto.

To make employees come to work on time the regent has installed four special machines which can prevent absent workers from having their friends sign their attendance cards.

Djamhari said the system was also intended to increase the employees' work ethic. (12/yns)
