Disappointing service of ANZ Panin Bank

From Media Indonesia

I am an ANZ Panin Bank credit card holder under No.4157-3530- 4320-5000. On Friday Oct. 13, I had a very embarrassing experience.

My ANZ Panin Bank credit card was rejected due to insufficient funds when I used it to pay for dental treatment at the Dentistry Institute of Martadinata Hospital.

The credit amount of Rp 1,700,000 was actually due for payment on Oct. 10 but on Oct. 5 I paid it at Bank Danamon GKBI, Semanggi, Jakarta.

So I contacted ANZ Panin Bank on 5721900 and the person in charge asked me to fax her the proof of payment. I did as requested. Then I contacted her again to ask for confirmation, which she gave. She also said that it was possible that Bank Danamon had not yet passed on the money to ANZ Panin Bank despite a passage of eight days (from Oct. 5 to Oct. 13). She also asked me to be patient.

The next day, I contacted ANZ Panin again. The person in charge told me that in case I would like to use my credit card the cashier where I shop should contact ANZ Panin Bank to confirm that the credit card could be used manually.

This was but an empty promise. The following day, (Sunday Oct. 15), I shopped at Metro Pondok Indah and still could not use my credit card. The ANZ Panin Bank officer in charge that Sunday told me they would deal with my payment on Monday, which Bank Danamon had not yet passed on to ANZ Panin Bank.

I am really disappointed over the working system and mechanism of the management of ANZ Panin Bank credit cards.
