Dili paper back to normal
Dili paper back to normal
DILI, East Timor: Suara Timor Timur, the only daily newspaper
published in East Timor province, went back to 12 pages yesterday
as the newsprint crisis came to an end.
Managing editor Yosephus G. Lema said that the paper had to
cut down to eight pages for two weeks during the crisis.
The paper had only increased its pages from eight to 12 on
June 1, but was forced to cut back to eight two weeks later
because of the shortages. At one point in the crisis, the paper
came close to not appearing at all. (05)
