Dialog to discuss trade

JAKARTA (JP): A satellite transmitted dialog and seminar will
discuss "Creating A Conducive Climate for Trade and Investment in
the Era of APEC and the Post-Uruguay Round" at the Borobudur
Inter-continental Hotel tomorrow.

The Jakarta chapter of the Indonesian Economists Association
(ISEI), the organizer of the seminar, said yesterday that
Charlene Barshefky, deputy chairperson of the United States Trade
Representative, will talk, via satellite, with Indonesian
panelists Marzuki Usman, Rizal Ramli, Chamrul Djafri and Rudy
Lengkong.

The dialog will be followed by a seminar on the same subject
featuring U.S. speakers Jeffrey R. Shafer, assistant secretary of
the U.S. Treasury for International Affairs and Steven R.
Saunders, president of Saunders & Company, an international
consulting firm.

State Minister for Investment Sanyoto Sastrowardoyo is
expected to deliver a key-note speech at the seminar, which is
organized in cooperation with the United States Information
